Enable Dolby Atmos On Your Apple Device

You must update your Apple device to iOS 14.6, iPad 14.6, or tvOS 14.6, macOS 11.4, or later. After you've completed the update, do the following:

You can use this app on your iPhone or iPad

  • Go to Settings > Music.
  • Choose Dolby Audio under Audio.
  • Select Auto or On.

For your Mac:

  • Open Apple Music.
  • Click Music in the menu bar. Next, go to Preferences.
  • Click PlaybackYou can also choose Dolby Audio or Always on.

You can choose Auto to have Dolby Atmos songs automatically play on your latest iPhones, iPods or Macs.

If you are using headphones that don't support automatic Playback, choose on.

Spatial Audio must be turned on if you use AirPods Pro or Max. This can be done in two ways:
