Apple's iOS 15.4 update and iPadOS 15.4 software update bring you many new features and improvements to your user experience. Since its initial release in September, Apple has made minor changes to iOS 15 and iPadOS 15. The company's latest iOS 15.4 or iPadOS 15.4 updates have several new features that will improve the user experience and address some of the issues with its operating systems. This includes Face ID working with a mask and new emojis. We'll be discussing the most significant changes and features that are coming to your iPhone or iPad with iOS 15.4 or iPadOS 15.4.
The Face ID authentication system is not compatible with masks, so using an iPhone with a Face ID during the pandemic has been frustrating. As a workaround, Apple introduced Lock with Apple Watch last year. However, this only worked if an Apple Watch was used.

iOS 15.4 has an updated Face ID that allows you to use a mask with the feature. This feature is available only on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series. Face ID must be re-setup while wearing a show for the part to work. It will scan the area around the eyes to verify your identity.
Apple introduced Tap to Pay in February 2022. This allows small businesses to convert their iPhones into payment terminals. They can receive money using Apple Pay or contactless credit/debit card and other digital wallets, with just one tap on the back. This feature will eliminate the need to use a Stripe payment terminal.
Tap to Pay is now accessible to the public for iPhone XS, iPhone XS Plus, and other models running iOS 15.4. Third-party providers will need to support the feature as well.
Apple's most recent software update supports Unicode 14.0. This includes 112 new characters, 37 new emojis, and 75 new skin tones.

iPadOS 15.4 (macOS Monterey 12.3) bring the long-awaited Universal Control feature. This allows you to control your iPad and Mac from one keyboard and mouse and drag and drop files between them.
iCloud Keychain for iOS 15.4 or iPadOS 15.4 allows you to add notes to any password you have saved, making it more like a password management tool. The notes section will enable you to store important information about the site and login credentials.
