The history of the first phones in the world

For Android

These factors have made Android the most popular smartphone platform in the world.
The Android operating system has 71.93% of the smartphone market share worldwide in Jan 2021. However, the number of developers participating in developing applications on Google Play is four times less than the App Store.
Compatibility
In terms of compatibility Android is better than iOS, below is an example to help you better understand the compatibility of the two operating systems.
If you intend to use a smartwatch, are interested in an Apple Watch, or are using an Apple Watch, there is no choice but to use an iPhone. If wearing Android Wear or Samsung Gear, it can run with both iOS and Android, but iOS has more limited features than Android.

In iOS 14.5 updates according to Apple's announcement, a new feature called App Tracking Transparency of iOS will force apps to get explicit permission from users before tracking them on other apps.

On Android, the policy is also easier for accessed applications to collect information from the users from other apps.
Customization
This has always been one of the standout strengths of Android. Android manufacturers allow users to easily customize their phones, you can reset the layout on the home screen, add widgets and shortcuts, and even change the entire UI. Android also allows you set third-party apps as the default option.
For iOS, the operating system has less customization. Users use mostly what is already on the device default, and the ability to use third-party applications is limited. Therefore, if you are a tinkerer or want a truly unique, personalized interface for yourself, then Android is the platform for you.
5. App Store and Google Play, where is the place making money easier for App developers
When developing apps for any platform, the biggest concern for the app developer is the app's ability to develop app well and have good revenue.
For Google Play, Google requires apps to use its payment system with an average commission of 30%, equal to the rate Apple applies to the App Store.
But now Apple is introducing a new tax halving policy for small businesses. The commission is only 15% for businesses earning less than or equal to $1 million in a calendar year, this figure is $ 1 million on the basis of after sharing revenue with Apple.
Developers will be eligible to participate in the program until the amount they earn, after sharing with Apple, exceeds $1 million, will no longer be eligible to participate.
The same applies to subscription apps. Currently, the revenue share is 30% for the first year of registration, then down to 15% for the following regular subscription years. The Small Business Program rate would be 15% for all years
Apple also emphasized that small developers will continue to benefit from Apple's developer toolset: development apps, programming languages, secure payment interfaces, and more than 250,000 of them. The essential software building block is called an API. Apple is also committed to providing developers with other tools like HealthKit, ARKit, and Core ML to keep making great apps.
According to statistics and predictions from Sensor Tower, the App Store is always ahead of Google Play in revenue from users when using apps. In 2023, App Store revenue will have reached 96 billion dollars while Google Play only has reached 60 billion dollars.
Considering many factors, the app developer has more development opportunities on the App Store. With limited economic potential, prioritizing iOS app development and then developing on the Android platform will be more efficient for App Developers.
