There's been plenty of talk about how Android apps running on Chrome OS are a significant deal and how they can be a game-changer, but when you're first looking in Google Play Store on a dual-purpose device, it might be challenging to figure out what to do. The Chromebooks are already highly competitive even without Android apps to add to the equation; in fact, many Play Store's most popular games are also available as web-based app counterparts. Sure, you can use either the Google Docs Android app or the Twitter Android app onto a Chromebook; however, you'll get better and more extensive experiences using either of the services' web-based alternatives. So, why bother?

The challenge is to determine how Android applications improve Google's Chrome OS by effectively enhancing the experience by filling an area of the platform or introducing something new and practical to the occasion. In an ocean of titles that overlap and mobile-specific applications, picking out a few of them isn't always straightforward. So, I'm here to assist. I've spent many hours with Chromebooks and using them as entertainment and productivity tools. I've explored the Android applications and uncovered the apps that can enhance the capabilities of Chromebooks in all important ways. I've even taken business journeys with just an Android-based app-enabled Chromebook to complete all tasks as well as (ahem) procrastination requirements.

Google Keep

Google's note-taking app offers its own fully functioning web-based version; however, Keep's Keep Android app provides some significant advantages. In addition, it is that beyond that, the Keep Android app is especially suitable for writing on the screen using a stylus, your fingers, or any other device you like -- because of the built-in tools and settings that control the hue and thickness that you "ink." You can even use it to include a variety of grid lines that look like paper in your notes so that they seem more like an actual writing space.

Squid

Squid is not so much about turning your notes from handwriting into text and more about creating a solid canvas to write on as well as leaving its pen-generated form. It's specifically designed to run at low latency when you use a stylus usage and is utterly vector-based so that you can create high-quality and fully scalable images. And anything you make within the app can be exported as a JPG, PDF, or PNG file or even cast to a Chromecast-compatible screen for an on-the-fly presentation.
