You can remotely monitor your home with a few apps and some configurations. Android phones have sophisticated hardware and software, which can be used to do some pretty amazing things if you're lucky enough to find the right App.
One such project is to set up a home monitoring system. It doesn't require any specific hardware or previous experience with home security systems. You will only need your Android phone and two apps from Google Play Store. See how it works? Let's get started.
You can buy a variety of home monitoring systems to monitor your home. There are many options on the market, from the basic ones that keep you informed about your pets to the more advanced techniques that detect burglary and stream live events. This project is perfect for those looking to create a DIY home monitoring system. This is one of the many uses an old android device can be used to.

Google's Live Transcribe & Notification app.
A tasker, IFTTT, or MacroDroid automation app (we'll use MacroDroid).
Google's "Live Transcribe and Notifications" app will do most of the heavy lifting. This handy App can identify and detect a variety of sounds. The App can notice barking and burglary sounds like glass breaking. It can also recognize baby cries and fire alarms.
To create the App:
The Google Play Store has the Live Transcribe & Notification app. After downloading, you will need to install the App and grant permissions. The App may already be installed depending on the version of your Android phone.
Close the App.
Open the Settings App and locate Accessibility> Audio Notification. To toggle on Sound Notification, search for Accessibility in the "search settings" input box on older versions of Android.

You can snap your finger, whistle, and flush the toilet. Also, you can play music and other sounds to check if it is correctly configured. You can also try saying a few words to verify that the transcription is correct.
The App will label each sound accurately if you correctly follow the steps. This will allow you to move on. You can turn on notifications to your phone when it detects an exciting sound. To do this, select the sounds that you wish it to notify. This is how you can use the Sound Notification and Live Transcribe apps:
Open the HTML notifications screen from the Sound Notification, and Live transcribe apps. The Sound notifications screen differs from the live transcription screen. As shown in the above screenshot, you must be on the Sound notifications screen. To open sound notifications, click the setting icon at the bottom of the screen.
The setting icon is located in the upper right corner of your screen.
Switch Sound notifications are disabled. It should not say Sound notifications active.
Next, tap Sound notifications active for the sound notification preferences screen.
Click on the switch next to the sounds you would like to be notified about. E.g., To receive SMS notifications on your phone whenever your baby barks or your dog barks, toggle the switch beside Baby sounds.
Next is the installation of MacroDroid. MacroDroid, an Android automation app, can be used to automate many Android tasks. It works with a trigger-action operational system, which executes an action when it detects a predefined trigger or condition. You can program the app, for example, to send your child a "return home SMS" at 6 pm every day.

This project will use the App to expand the functionality of Live Transcribe and the Notification app. Remote notification is not available in the Live Transcribe app. Instead, MacroDroid will be used to send hidden messages whenever your phone detects an exciting sound. To get started
Start the MacroDroid app and grant all permissions.
Tap on Add Macro on your MacroDroid Home Screen and then tap the plus icon in the top right corner of the area labeled Triggers.
At the prompt, choose Select App(s). Next, tap OK> Live Transcribe or Sound Notification.
Next, you can leave all options unchecked and hit OK. The MacroDroid home screen will be returned to you.
Once you have reached this point, you have successfully created the trigger to send remote notifications. Next, you need to set up the actions taken when the condition occurs. This is how you do it:

After setting up the phone, place it in the area you wish to detect sounds. The phone should be placed in an area where sounds are most likely to originate. It should be kept in the baby's bedroom if you want to monitor for baby sounds. To get notifications, you can add a Google-powered device to the Live Transcribe or Sound Notification App.
What can you expect from the setup?
Not only can you get SMS notifications, but so can automated phone calls, email, tweets, and many other methods. MacroDroid and other automation apps can be used to test a variety of functions that could improve your setup.
