Hotel apps are great for last-minute bookings or if you have to cancel your travel plans. Some apps offer perks and discounts, including keyless entry, in-app room requests, fast checkout, and folio reviews. These nine apps will allow you to download them before you start thinking about your next trip. Let's discover 9 Hotel Booking Apps Every Traveler Should Have 2023

5 Tips to increase iOS app rankings on the App Store

1. Hotels.com

You can book, view, modify or cancel your reservations and check your activity and rewards status. For every 10 reservations you make, you get one night for free.

However, the app has its benefits mainly since reward nights booked after Nov. 27, 2018, will be subject to a $5 fee. This fee will not be charged for reward bookings made through the app. The app can be used to view your travel details and book reward nights without any payments.

2. Marriott Bonvoy

The Bonvoy app by Marriott is straightforward to use. You can easily create and modify reservations and check your points' balances. Clicking on a previously reserved trip will open the Bonvoy app. You can view all amenities and recommended activities as well as the hotel's recommendations. The app displays any promotions and the expiration date of your points. The "find a missing booking button" will help you locate any without reservations. Mobile check-in lets you notify the hotel about your arrival time and get a notification when your room is ready. The mobile key allows for keyless entry, where available.

TPG reporter Katherine Fan likes that the app lists her hotel's name in large font. It's easy to pull up and tell taxi drivers." The fan also appreciated the ease with which she could use the room-related service function. This allows her to quickly order extra towels or a kit of dental supplies without calling the front desk.

3. HotelTonight

This app is loved by TPG staff because of its simplicity and ease of use during spontaneous travels. You can book HotelTonight from any time between the evening of your arrival and seven days before your stay. For some markets, you can book up to 100 days in advance. You can see the different hotel rooms available by separating them into elemental, luxe, and hip categories. It works hard to find you the lowest last-minute rate. The app also allows you to quickly peruse photos and reviews to help you choose a property. You can take advantage of the daily drops feature. Swipe to get a customized deal with a price only valid for 15 minutes.

HT Perks, the app's loyalty program with nine levels, is available. You'll be able to access lower rates and free credits as you play video games through the various levels. Your "status" doesn't expire, so you can continue moving up and never fall. Use the promo code BKELLY99 to get $25 off your first hotel night booking.

4. Hilton Honors

Hilton's app offers a unique feature: the "choose a room feature." This feature lets you see a map of all properties and then tap on the room that interests you when you check in via the app. This is especially useful if you need a room on a higher floor, want to be close to an elevator or have a particular view in your mind, such as the ocean or pool. The app allows you to pre-order your preferred pillow type and request snacks and drinks (at an additional cost). You can check out by tapping one button, making your return journey a lot easier. You can also book and manage your travels on the app. Additionally, you can view your elite status and points balance.

TPG Reviews editor Nick Ellis loves the digital key feature of the app, which enabled him to unlock his bedroom door during a recent stay. This feature is handy, especially if your room key is lost or forgotten. Before you go out, make sure that your phone is fully charged.

5. One Night

One Night is an app that's for cool kids. You will find a selection of trendy hotels available for last-minute bookings. Only a few cities participate (think: The Standard in New York City, East Village, or Faena Hotel Miami Beach). However, everything about the app experience is edited down to its core: the interface, black-and-yellow color scheme, and monochromatic photos. Nashville, New Orleans, and international hotspots like London and Bangkok are just a few cities that participate.

The booking process is particular and spontaneous. You cannot book a same-night stay afternoon (in some cities, it's 0 a.m.). You can prolong your stay for up to seven nights. The app provides insider information about the best things to do in each hour of the day once you have selected a hotel.

6. Booking.com

This is a well-known website for booking vacation rentals and hotels. The app is equally valid. You can access all past, present, and future trips offline. Also, the address of local hotels is available in the local language. This is very helpful for showing taxi drivers your lesson in China. The app allows you to book accommodations in remote locations, and it also makes it easy for you to check what's included in your booking (a great way to avoid resort fees and cancel without penalty). Prepaying can get you lower rates.

Many properties have multiple reviews that can be viewed on the app. This makes it easy to compare the pros and cons of past guests. Genius members get discounts on many properties all over the globe, as well as perks such as welcome drinks, airport transportation, late checkout, and more. Your Genius level and benefits can be viewed in your profile section.

7. IHG

Mona Kim is a UX designer at TPG and loves to use the IHG app for tracking deals and incentives. She said that IHG is good at letting her know about special promotions (either sales or bonus points).

IHG's app has an entire section dedicated to exclusive offers. These include cash savings on bookings, bonus points, and a free Kindle ebook. I received one last month.

The app allows you to book IHG hotels and view or modify existing reservations. You can save your preferences and get a digital copy of your IHG member card through the app. You can also view your points balances, activity, elite status, and book stays with points.

The app is more than a hotel booking tool. It also has a section that offers tips and tricks (like local guides) to help you sleep. The IHG Translator app can be downloaded separately, but it is possible to get it.

8. World of Hyatt

The World of Hyatt app allows travelers to book over 900 Hyatt hotels and manage their current trips. The best feature of the app is the ability to make room requests. TPG's travel analyst Zach Griff used his Hyatt app for two recent stays to request additional amenities. He said that both were completed within a short time of submitting them. The app allows you to track the progress of your request, so you don't have to guess if someone heard you.

Hyatt Mobile Entry is also available in the app. This allows you to check in via the app, saving time and allowing you to have keyless access to your hotel room.

Track your elite status and points progression, see the benefits of your status, and choose your room preference to be the non-smoking or high floor. You can contact Hyatt via the app. The app allows you to view Hyatt Concierge numbers, call the member number and tweet or Facebook message them.

9. Expedia

Expedia is an excellent app for booking hotel reservations at steeply discounted rates. You will find exclusive deals that you won't find on the Expedia website. This includes 2x Expedia Rewards points per dollar spent through the app and 20-30% off sales. Remember the Expedia app, where you can book hotels as low as 90%! We do.

You can view your rewards activity and see how far you are from elite status. You have the option to use your Expedia Reward Points by simply tapping a button when you book.

You can book more than 500,000 properties and book tours, car rentals, vacation packages, and flights, all from your smartphone. The app will provide details about the payment terms, including whether you can book now and pay later or cancel before a specific date. It also provides a map showing the hotel's location and other important information such as photos and amenities.

You can view your bookings offline. All hotel addresses are also translated into local languages for a more leisurely arrival.

10. Conclusion

It would help if you made traveling a joy, not a chore. To make your next trip more accessible and enjoyable, you can use all the apps listed above.
